Make The Road New York is easily the liveliest, most energetic, most packed mayoral forum I have attended!

Honored to join the Milagros Day March across the Brooklyn Bridge today. Dawn Diaz, an ex-FDNY paramedic, mother, and domestic abuse survivor, has single-handedly created an incredible organization to support victims of domestic violence.

Drinking in the color and excitement at the Sikh Day Parade this weekend with friends and supporters!

Painful to hear Elizabeth Smart’s story & for her to tell it over & over again. But worth it for the thousands of children’s lives saved.

Thank you Jessie Williams-Collins for calling on NCNW -Bronx Section members to support our schools & strengthen our communities!

Talked with parents and educators today at D15 Legislative Breakfast at Brooklyn Borough Hall!

What is more soulful and soothing than the myriad star voices of the Brooklyn Tabernacle choir?!

Fierce and fabulous hats were on full display at The Links Inc Annual Easter Luncheon at Chelsea Piers this weekend!

Honored to join the Board of the Feminist Press and to speak at their 42nd Annual Gala last night. And if I could have had one wish granted at the event, it would have been to hear the panel keep talking for hours longer! Cecile Richards, Jodi Kantor and Merle Hoffman spoke with candor and honesty about the issues facing women today — from limits on abortion access to a limited number of women in the Obama cabinet.  Although Sarah Weddington wasn’t able to make the event, I was deeply moved by the video honoring Weddington — with audio from her winning Roe v. Wade argument in the Supreme Court, when she was just 27!
